Fl. Born October 23, 1925 in Orlando, Fl, she was the daughter of the late Dr. James Oliver Phillips and Alma Greene Phillips. She was married to Pirven Simpson, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Simpson worked as a telephone operator for Southern Bell in Miami, before marrying and raising a family. She enjoyed vacationing in the North Carolina mountains and the Florida beaches. She also, enjoyed family gatherings of every kind. She will be dearly missed by her family. Her sense of humor and spunky personality caused her nurses to have a special bond and fondness for her. Survivors include daughter & son- in-law, Rose Marie & James Poole of Miami, Fl, daughter Gloria of Jensen Beach, FL, daughter & son-in-law, Olivia & John Koudelka of Keller, TX, sister, Virginia Harrick of Richmond, VA, grandchildren, Jimmy, William, Mary Colon, Brandon Koudelka, Chelsea Koudelka, great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Heather and Michael Colon. She was preceded in death by brothers, William Phillips, James Oliver Phillips, Jr and sister, Elizabeth Phillips. The family will receive friends 10:00 – 11:30 at the church, before the service.
