Services for Alton Frank Molton, 66, of Thomasville are 11 am, Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Victory Baptist Church. Rev. Gary Holland and James Kelly will officiate and interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be David Roberson, Emory Autery, Lavon Singletary, Dwight Leek, Jim Hicks and Ronnie Strickland. Mr. Molton passed away Sunday, August 21, 2011 at Archbold Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born March 25, 1945 in Lizella Ga, he was the son of the late Lester and Frances Tidwell Molton. He was married to Sandra Fielding Molton who survives. Mr. Molton served in the Army in the 62nd Engineers Battalion and served 2 tours in Vietnam. He has lived in Thomas County for the past 30 years and was in the roofing business. He was a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church, loved to fish and was very fond of Lake Okeechobee. Other survivors include daughters, Debra Singletary and husband Robbie, Tracey Durnell, Terri Starks and Denise Devon; sons, Charlie Molton and wife Tiffany and Robert Harris and wife Laura; brothers, Melvin Molton and wife Tina; sister, Barbara Nosky and husband Rick; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Leon & Lera Fielding; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Glenn & Marie Fielding; 28 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; his loving pets Shelby Jean and Lily Mae and his special coffee shop buddies at the Plaza. He was preceded in death by brothers, Joe Molton, Waymond Molton and Billy Molton and sister, Kaye Elkins. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm, Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at the funeral home.
