Memorial services for Alvia Jackson Young, Sr., 69, of Doerun, GA will be held 5:00PM, Thursday, August 07, 2014 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Young passed away on August 04, 2014. Born May 23, 1945 in Abbeville, GA, he was the son of the late George Felton and Mary Ola Atkinson Young. Mr. Young was a member of the United States Navy. He is survived by wife Brenda Croft; children Alvia Young, Jr. and wife Charlotte of Thomasville, Angela Sangster of Pelham, Denise Hudson of Thomasville, Andrew Young of Thomasville, Crystal Allegood and husband Garrett of Macon; grandchildren Micayla Logue, Eric Hudson, Kai Allegood and Kira Allegood and; brothers Ernest Young, George Young and wife Joanne; sisters Mary Plymel and husband Mayo, Bettie Johnson and husband Mark, Christine West and husband James, Ruthie Raper and husband Mike; and sister Ruby Carr; sister-in-law Libby Young and several nieces and nephews.
