Alvin Bloodworth

Alvin "Chippy" George Bloodworth, age 78, of Acworth, Georgia passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023. He was born in Thomasville, GA to the late Earnie and Catherine Bloodworth on July 9, 1944. Alvin was strong in his faith and attended Mount Paran Baptist Church. He was also proud to have served in the United States Army. Alvin was a board member for Camp Gideon, and he also supported many other nonprofit organizations. Alvin enjoyed boating, riding his Kubota, and jet skis. He was always happy and laughing, and always encouraged others around him to do the same. Alvin was a loving son, brother, father, and friend. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Alvin is survived by his son, Alex Bloodworth, daughters; Rhonda Bloodworth and Kimbell Bloodworth, as well as 9 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

Alvin is preceded in death by his son, Alvin "Jason" Bloodworth Jr., daughter, Anastasia Bloodworth, brother, Alan Bloodworth, sisters; Grace Dean, Dorothy Owens, and Joyce Hampton.

A visitation for Alvin will be held Friday, May 19, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. The second visitation will occur Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Alvin's service will occur Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 1:00 PM. The burial will occur Sunday, May 21, 2023, at 2:00 PM, at Little Ochlochnee Baptist Church, 7856 Ga Highway 188. Ochlocknee, Georgia, 31773.
