Alvin Maurice Hutchison

Services for Alvin Maurice (PaPa) Hutchison, 92, of Thomasville will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, June 16 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. Rev. Ronnie Wills and Rev. Bob Dixon will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Hutchison passed away June 12, 2014 at Camellia Gardens. Born June 10, 1922 in Atlanta, Ga, he was the son of the late Grady Hutchison and Daisy Harrison Hutchison. He was married to Evelyn Smith Hutchison for 67 years, who preceded him in death. Mr. Hutchison was a realtor and a member of First United Methodist Church of Thomasville. He was a loving dad & granddad. Survivors include son Alvin Maurice Hutchison, Jr and wife Truddy of Rossville, Ga, daughter Brenda Joy Hatcher and husband Marcus of West Palm Beach, Fl, son Bob "Hutch" Hutchison and wife Lynn of Thomasville; grandchildren, Marcus Hatcher, Jr, Hayley Gurley, Heather Sonmez, Hope Wong, Holli Johnson, Cal Hutchison and Hilliary Hutchison; great-grandchildren, Madeline McGinnis, Maxwell McGinnis, Jordan Hatcher, Miles Hatcher, Emma Hatcher, Mallorie, Madison, & Maddox Johnson, Nathaniel, Isabelle & Hadley Sonmez and Oliver Wong. Mr. Hutchison was preceded in death by 6 siblings. The Hutchison family has established a scholarship in memory of, their loved one, Mr. Alvin M. Hutchison, Sr. with the Southwest Georgia Technical College Foundation.
