Alvin C. Marchant

Graveside services for Alvin C. Marchant, 93, of Thomasville, GA, will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Marchant passed away Monday, February 11, 2019 at Crestwood Nursing Home in Valdosta. He was married to Hazel L. Marchant who preceded him in death. His parents were Alvin Marchant and Elsie Meray who also preceded him in death. Mr. Marchant honorably served in the U.S. Army and worked for Owens- Illinois Bottle Company then later retired from the City of Thomasville. He loved baseball. Mr. Marchant is survived by his siblings, Charles Marchant, Nelson Marchant, Linda Marchant, and Margaret Marchant- Kintner; grandchildren, Brenda L. Knight, Lake Park, FL and Pamala M. Lister, Thomasville, GA; great grandchildren, David A. Hill, Tallahassee, FL., Byron E. Arnau, Port Charlotte, FL., Samantha L. Duncan, Thomasville, GA; great grandchildren, Cameron Duncan, Blake Arnau, Ava Hill, Asher Hill and Noah Harrison. He was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Marchant; son, Michael T.
