Alvis L Nesmith

Graveside services for Alvis L. NeSmith, 94 of Thomasville will be held at 10: AM, Friday, August 19, 2016 at Little Ochlocknee Cemetery. Rev. Nathan Fowler will officiate. Mrs. NeSmith passed away August 17, 2016 at Camellia Gardens. Born December 29, 1921 in Ochlocknee, she was the daughter of the late Joe Reagan and Annie Robinson Reagan. She was married to Herbert NeSmith, who preceded her in death. She was a dietician for Garrison Pilcher School and was a member of Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church. Mrs. NeSmith loved life and her family and always enjoyed cooking for them. She is survived by her children, Betty Jo Palmer of Thomasville, J.R. Scoggins and wife Dianne of Ellijay, and D.L. Scoggins of Ochlocknee; grandchildren, Tommy Palmer, Arnie Palmer, Todd Hall, Kimberly Crowe, Russ Scoggins and Leah Lowery; great grandchildren, Brett Palmer, Kyle Palmer, Wheeler Crowe, Little Ben Palmer, Michael Hall, Calvin Hall, Davis Hall, Lucy Lowery and Lennon Lowery; great-great grandchild, Lane Palmer and sister, Lillian Wingate of Doerun. She was preceded in death by first husband, Roscoe Scoggins; daughter, Bobbie Hall; grandsons, Terry and Bennie Palmer; brother, Bill Regan and sisters, Kathleen Shiver and Evelyn Robinson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church, 7856 Ga Hwy 188, Ochlocknee, Ga 31773. The family will receive friends 5-7pm, Thursday at the funeral home.
