Graveside services for Amanda Zardecki Shuttleworth of Mayo, Fl will be 1:30 PM, Wednesday, February 18th at Laurel Hill Cemetery on Virginia St. Mrs. Shuttleworth died Wednesday February, 11 at Lafayette Healthcare in Mayo, Florida after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her parents Stanlislaw E. Zardecki and Amanda Donst Zardecki, her husband Edwin Lewis Shuttleworth, her daughter Gay Shuttleworth Davis, and her son Todd Forbes Shuttleworth. Amanda was born March 30, 1923 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She attended Syracuse University in New York, and the University of Vermont. She received her masters in education. Mrs. Shuttleworth and her husband raised their two children in south Florida, where she was a school teacher for thirty years. Mrs. Shuttleworth and her husband relocated to Thomasville, Ga. in 1993 to be close to their daughter and her family. She was an avid supporter of the Florida Sheriffs Boys Ranch. She is survived by her grandchildren, Brooke Davis Hinson, Amanda McRae Davis Foote Lewis , J.C. Davis VLaura Ann, and Betsey Whitcomb Davis and her great-grandchildren, Harper McRae Hinson, Walker Hayes Hinson, Jasper Claud Davis VI, and Randall Alexander Davis.
