Andrew Julian Hoyt, 26, passed away unexpectedly on March 18th, 2023 in Tampa, FL. His ongoing battle against life-long medical issues showed his strong will and bravery in the face of adversity.
Andrew was born on July 21st, 1996 in Asheville, NC. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a BBA in Finance in 2018. In 2020 he graduated with a BBA in Accounting from Valdosta State University and started graduate work. Afterwards, he worked in the finance industry in Tampa, FL and Cleveland, OH. Andrew is survived by his father, Thomas L. Hoyt and step-mother Annemarie V. Hoyt; his mother, Elizabeth A. Reinker, and step-father Leonard E. Reinker II; his brother Thomas J. Hoyt and his maternal grandmother, June W. Titus.
Andrew served as a Congressional Intern for Congressman Doug Collins (GA-9) in Washington D.C. which provided a firm foundation for his desire to help others. Andrew was a strong advocate for Disability Rights and Inclusion, was active within the Disability:IN organization and was honored to speak on behalf of disability rights to major corporations.
Services with the Hoyt family will be held at Allen & Allen Funeral Home, 110 W Hansell St, Thomasville, GA on Friday, March 24th at 2PM. Services with the Reinker-Titus family will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 225 E Jackson St, Thomasville GA on Saturday, March 25th with a viewing at 11:00 AM followed by a memorial service at 12:00 PM. A reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Andrew to the Epilepsy Foundation of America or the United Brain Association.
