Andrew Joseph Young

Thomasville, GA - Andrew Joseph Young, 48, of Thomasville, passed away on Saturday, April 11th, 2026. Andrew was born on September 17th, 1977 to the late Alvia Jackson Young, Sr. and Lula Fay Hopkins.

Andrew was raised in Thomasville and graduated from Thomas County Central High School. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in American Sign Language/English Interpreting from Valdosta State University. He worked for many years as a machine operator at Check-Mate Industries in Thomasville.

Andrew is survived by his brother Alvia Jackson Young, Jr; and sisters, Angela Kennedy, Denise Hudson, and Crystal Allegood.

In addition to his parents, Andrew is preceded in death by his sister Georgia Fay Shepherd.

Andrew will be remembered for his authentic and vibrant personality and will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.

A service to celebrate Andrew's life will take place on Wednesday, April 15th at 2:30 pm in Allen & Allen Funeral Home's Celebration of Life Chapel.
