Anita Marcone Edwards

Anita Marcone Edwards of Thomasville died August 14, 2006 at Southern Pines. The family will receive friends from 4-7:00PM on Saturday, August 26, 2006 at the home of Brian Kincaid at 117 S. Love Street, Thomasville, GA. A family graveside service will be held at a later date in Pound Ridge, New York. Born August 14, 1909 in New York, New York she was the daughter of the late Giovanno and Giovanna Marcone. She was married to Joseph Miles Edwards who preceded her in death. Mrs. Edwards was a homemaker and also a decorator and designer for her friends. She was a lifetime member of Archbold Auxiliary. She was a member of the founding class of Sarah Lawrence College. She also attended Glendower School in London, England. Survivors include a daughter, Priscilla Kincaid Wellons of New York, grandchildren, Kevin Barber of New York, Brian Kincaid of Thomasville, Ian Barber of Thomasville, Priscilla Anderson of New York, Jennifer Wellons of New York, Robin Friend of Conn., great grandchildren, Letitia Barber, Christopher Friend and Carina Friend. A daughter, Bonnie Barber, preceded her in death. Memorials may be made to Archbold Hospital Auxiliary or to the Thomasville-Thomas County Humane Society, 180 Big Star Dr., Thomasville, GA 317957.
