Graveside services for Ann L. Bailey, 83, of Thomasville, are at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 16, 2008, in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Bailey died August 14, 2008 at the Golden Living Center. Born May 24, 1925, in Brooks County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Lee and Orrie May Lindsey. She was married to William Robert Bailey, Sr., who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and a 25 year member of Eastern Star. Survivors include children, Joyce Anita Mathis, William Robert "Robbie" Bailey, Jr., Teresa Anne Pierce, George Dean Bailey; grandchildren, Kayla Singletary, Christy Bruner, Corbet Lawler, Mandy Lyn Brown, Brittany Danielle Bailey, Tyler Reed Bailey, Adam Pierce, Chris Pierce, Athena Nixon, Justin Barwick, Holly Barwick, Terri Pierce, Robert Bailey; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lucille Cartwright of Athens, Louise Brady of Sarasota, Fla.; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother and 5 sisters. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
