Ann Linson Mcgee

Graveside services for Ann Linson McGee, 82, of Thomasville will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Laurel Hill Cemetery on 2nd st. Rev. Alan Hartsfield will officiate. Born February 13, 1929 in Thomasville GA., she was the daughter of the late Robert Bruce and Mae Rigsby Linson. She was retired from Flower s Industries where she was a secretary in the Personnel Dept. She was also a member of Morningside United Methodist Church. On June 3, 1951 she married Robert L. McGee who survives. Other Survivors daughter and son in law Ann M. and Harris M. Carmichael, Sr; Daughter and son in law Linda M. and Ray Herndon ; Sons Robert L. McGee Jr. and Charles Gregory McGee; Grandchildren Harris M. Carmichael Jr.; Charles Linson Carmichael and wife Mandi; Kimberly Elliott Hand and husband Jason; Kendra Reeves and husband Tony; Adam McGee; Kelly McGee, John Herndon and wife Jessica; Katie Herndon; Great Grandchildren Shelby Carmichael; Sydney Carmichael; Callie Reeves; Emma Reeves; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by sisters Etta Wynn; Bobbie Burton; Mae Stewart and Grandchild Daniel Lee McGee. As a testimony to all of us, she lived out her faith in life and her close walk with the Lord led all who knew her to find their own relationship with Him. She was a mother who rejoiced in her children and enjoyed playing and entertaining each child, grandchild and great grandchild. She has been a perfect example of motherhood for all her children to emulate. Her marriage has been a shining example of devotion, love and commitment. She will be sorely missed but we know with certainty she is reaping her rewards in Heaven and will be awaiting our arrival.
