Ann Elizabeth Plymel

Ann Elizabeth Plymel passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021. Ann was born on November 22, 1950, to Fred and Martha McLean in Port St. Joe, FL. She grew up in Fernandina Beach, FL and obtained a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Valdosta State College in 1972. Ann met her husband, Grant, at VSC and they were married on January 15, 1972. Together, they had two daughters. Ann will be deeply missed by her family. She spent many of her days playing alongside her six grandchildren. Whether it was water balloon fights, reading books, singing songs, or playing on the swing set in the backyard, she was always happiest surrounded by her grandchildren. Ann is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Grant Plymel; daughters, Erin (Kevin) Wright and Casey (Ross) Brooks; grandchildren, Travis Wright, Abigail Wright, Reese Wright, Amelia Wright, Deacon Brooks, and Graham Brooks. There is currently no service planned, but the family plans to celebrate Ann's life privately at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those interested make a donation in memory of Ann Plymel to the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation (1 East Wacker Dr., Suite 1730, Chicago, IL 60601).
