Anne Williams Owens

August 15, 1937 — May 14, 2014

Anne Williams Owens is celebrating a life well-lived and well-loved. Annie touched so many lives in a positive way, and was a wonderful example for all of us. There is a huge hole in all our lives that will never be filled. She was our inspiration.

Born August 15, 1937, Anne was raised in Thomas County by the late James and Margaret Williams and mother, Thelma Williams Letchas. Anne most recently lived in Saint Albans, Vermont where she passed away on May 14, 2014, from complications related to Parkinson’s Disease.

Anne is survived her children; Angela Owens (Fawnda Bluejacket), Wyandotte, OK; Tamara (Tammy) Owens, St. Albans, VT; Gina Owens, Thomasville, GA; Tommy Owens (Robin Elliott), Claremore, OK and Allison Bowen, Vienna, Ga; and sister, Deuane Duncan, Thomasville, GA. Anne loved her grandchildren, Joshua (Amber), Kaleigh, Sabra, JW, Elyse and Jordann. And two very special young men, Stephen Randolph and Travis Dulude. She looked forward to meeting her great grandchildren Savanna Owens and Kinley Owens-Dulude. She had lots of nieces, nephews and ‘adopted’ children who she loved as if they were her own – we had great times on N. Pinetree Blvd.

Anne had a wonderful career helping others as a social worker – she touched so many lives. She enjoyed genealogy, reading, traveling and spending time with friends and family. She was a southern lady, gracious, fun, kind and very wise! But her real love was coffee – so raise your cups and toast to a very special lady – we love you Mom.
