Services for Annette Bolton Clark, 91, currently of Asheville, NC, formerly of Thomasville, will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the First Baptist Church Chapel of Thomasville. The Rev. Milton Gardner will officiate and the interment will be at the Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Born April 17, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Dr. C.H. Bolton and Lena Painter Bolton. She was married to the late R. Lewis Clark of Thomasville.
Mrs. Clark was a graduate of Stetson University and a teacher for many years. After she married Lewis Clark in 1971, they moved to Thomasville where she became an active part of the community. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she was a choir member and Sunday School Teacher. She was a member of the Thomasville Garden Club and became involved in many important community issues.
A devoted mother, grandmother, wife and friend, Annette was gracious, kind, fun loving, talented and creative. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Mrs. Clark is survived by daughter, Lynn Clark; son, Eric Clark; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Clark Copeland and Carl Copeland; daughter and son-in-law, Susan Clark Waite and Powell Dean Waite, Sr.; Powell Dean Waite, II, Elizabeth Waite Mann, grandchildren B.J. Clark Miller, Erica Vealey, Christopher Clark, Joshua Clark, Lindsay Clark Thornton, Garrett Moore, Victoria Moore, Ashley Waite, Clark Waite Jacob Chapman Mann, Hamilton McCready Mann, Clifton Bates Mann, Powell Dean Waite, III and 12 great grandchildren. Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by son, Douglas Clark and grandson, Justin Clark Moore.
