Annette Dowdy Floyd

Annette passed away on February 22, 2020 in Thomasville. She was born on May 28, 1938, in Albany to the late Cecil Dowdy and to the late Georgia Lois Bridges. On February 22, 1968, she married the late Jerry Floyd. In 1956, she graduated from Thomasville Highschool and later got her associate business degree. Annette worked at the Thomasville Times Enterprise, Atlanta Gas Light Company, Raytheon, and JC Penney’s. Since 1992, Annette was a member of First Baptist Church of Thomasville. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, walking and talking with her friends, and taking care of her precious little dog Cody. Survivors include her children, Allison Morse Stead (Doug) of Celina, TX, Bryan Floyd of Frisco, TX, Jason Floyd (Lauren Mang) of Portland, OR, siblings, Janette Dowdy Hodges (Jerry) of Thomasville, Allen Lloyd Shiver (Robin) of Thomasville, and 5 grandchildren.
