Annette Huckeba, 84 of Coolidge passed away peacefully at home on March 6th, 2024. Annette was born on May 18, 1939 in Coolidge to the late Harvey and Margaret Hutchison. Annette married the love of her life Raymond Huckeba, on October 4th, 1957, and were married for 52 years before he passed away.
Annette was a lifelong resident of Thomas County. She was a longtime member of Coolidge Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and worked with the youth for many years. She was a founding member of the Jubilee Community Church. Annette worked for the Bank of Thomas County and Ameris Bank for 44 years. Annette was also a member of the South Georgia Goldwing Road Riders Association and made several trips across the country. Her home was always open to church friends, services, meals, and fellowship. In addition, she served as a foster parent.
She is survived by her daughter Teresa and Alfred Carver of Coolidge and her son Terry and Gina Huckeba of Coolidge; her sister Sue Crosby of Coolidge and Aunt Hilda Smith of Albany; her grandchildren William and Jess Carver, David Huckeba Carver, Kris and Brad Taylor, and Maggie Huckeba; her great-grandchildren Peter Carver, Allie and Griffin Taylor, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 9th from 4-6 pm at Allen & Allen Funeral Home. A service to celebrate the life of Annette Huckeba will be held Sunday, March 10th at 3 pm at Allen & Allen Celebration of Life Chapel with Reverend Mike Keown and Pastor Robert Young officiating followed by a burial at Big Ochlocknee Cemetery.
