Mrs. Searcy died September 11, 2006 at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home. Born December 13, 1922 in Grady, GA she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Lottie Benton Scoggins. She was married to Johnny Van Searcy, Sr. who preceded her in death. Mrs. Searcy was a homemaker. Survivors include daughter, Joyce Richardson of Jonesboro, GA, daughter and son-in-law, Merline and Jimmy Ross of Norcross, GA, son, Johnny Vann Searcy, Jr. of Stockbridge, GA, son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Denaye Searcy of Ochlocknee, GA; sister, Mary Sweet of Forest Park, GA; twelve grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
