Services for Annie Laura Owens Johnson, of Pavo are at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007, at Salem Baptist Church, where she was a member. Rev. Chris Lodge and Rev. Gene Vinson will officiate, with interment in Salem Cemetery. Mrs. Johnson died Monday, Jan. 8, 2007, at her residence. Born Sept. 3, 1918, in Tift Co., she was the daughter of the late William J. and Annie Lula Moncrief Sumner. She was married to Lee Ashley Johnson, Jr., who survives. She was retired from Warner?s and Southwestern State Hospital, she was also the oldest living active member of Salem Baptist Church, and a member of the Family Quilting Club. Survivors include son, Billy Wayne Owens, Pavo; son and daughter-in-law, Gary Lee and Bonnie Johnson, Ft. Meyers, Fl.; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and David Tinsley, Pavo; daughters, Linda Dickens, Thomasville, and Sue Stone, Barwick, Ga.; brothers, Everett Sumner, Thomasville, and Merle Sumner, Thomasville; sister, Florence Suber, Thomasville; grandchildren, Lynn Henderson, Billy Owens, Jr., David Tinsley, Jr., Danielle Tinsley Hiers, Shon Dickens, Wally Stone, Mandy King, Chae Johnson, Christy Gammons, and Ashley Johnson; and 16 great grandchildren.
