Services for Ann Sally Mae Lairsey Sherrod, 70 of Cairo will be held 11:00 am, Monday, October 22, 2012 at Rose City Church of God, where she was a member. Rev. Gerald Horn will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chawn Barrett, Richard Lee Randolph, Greg Ponder, Donnie Lairsey, Kent Chason, Kendall Harrold and Gary Barrett. Mrs. Sherrod passed away October 18, 2012 at her residence. Born October 23, 1941 in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late William Thomas Lairsey and Annie Lee Owens Lairsey. She was married to Wallace Sherrod who preceded her in death. She is survived by her sisters and brothers, Reba Simpson of Cairo, Brenda Lee Floyd and husband Richard of Las Vegas, NV, Jessie Lairsey of Cairo, Thomas W. Lairsey, Jr and wife Ann of Albany and Tommy Jackie Lairsey and wife Cheryl of Texas; niece, Kimberly Cherie Stevens, nephew, Eric Dewayne Stevens, niece Nicole Ingalls and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
