Antonio L. Gallardo

Funeral Mass for Antonio L. Gallardo, 77 of Ochlocknee will be held at 1:00 PM on December 27, 2017 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Thomasville, GA where he was a member. Interment will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Thomasville, GA immediately following the Funeral Mass.
Mr. Gallardo passed away December 22 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born on January 26, 1940 in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Antonio Lugo Matta and the late Maria Eugenia Gallardo. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Olga Belen Lugo of Thomasville, GA and by his beloved son Juan Carlos Lugo of Kissimmee, FL.
Antonio is survived by Barbara O. Gallardo, his loving wife of 20 years. Survived by his children Olga E. Grisham of Tallahassee, FL, Antonio Lugo, Jr. of Crystal River, FL, Ulpiano Lugo of New Orleans, LA, Belen Ausburn (Robbie) of Ochlocknee, GA, Michelle Lugo (Jerry) of Tallahassee, FL, Carlton Thornton (Lisa) of Lake City, FL, Tammy Cone of Barwick, GA; grandchildren Krystle M. (Shannon), Alexandra L. (Eric), Cassandra A., Gabriella B., Chandler, Selica (Brent), Carlisa (Daniel), Cameron, Debra and Brittany (Donald); and 14 great grandchildren.
Though retired for the past 9 years, Mr. Gallardo was an over the road, professional truck driver with an impeccable safety record for over 34 years. He was previously employed by W.W. Trucking of Dover, FL. He had a special connection and a love of animals and had many of his own.
The family would like to acknowledge so many of whom assisted with his long term care throughout the past several years; Dr. Gee and Dr. Sizemore; a special thanks to the 2nd and 3rd floor staff at Archbold Memorial Hospital, and a most special thanks to Dr. Raul Santos and all of his staff who gave so much not only to Antonio’s care but also our mother Barbara.
