Graveside services for Archer Barnes Pfister, 94, of Thomasville are 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at Laurel Hill Cemetery on 8th St. The Rev. Bob Dixon will officiate. Honorary Pallbearers are Jackie Billingsley, Oliver Jones, Parks Weaver, James Cleveland and Burrell Griffin. Mr. Pfister died Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Camellia Gardens. Born December 8, 1914 in Thomas Co, he was the son of the late Joseph William Pfister and Annie Moreland Pfister. On July 21, 1944 he married Faye Williams Pfister, who survives. Mr. Pfister was a deliveryman for Nabisco for 49 years, a member of CCC conservation, and a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include son & daughter-in-law, Don & Dr. Tammy Pfister of Thomasville, grandchildren, Thomas Morgan Pfister and Joshua Alan Lodge. He was preceded in death by brothers William "Bill" Pfister and Anderson Roddenberry Pfister. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
