Services for Arthur Lee Dunnam, Jr., Thomasville, will be held 3:00PM, Saturday, January 03, 2015 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church with the Rev. Dwayne A. Varas officiating. Mr. Dunnam died December 31, 2014. Mr. Dunnam was born February 12, 1928 in Mobile to Arthur Lee Dunnam and Odee Gibson Dunnam, both of whom preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Aurelia Long Dunnam, two sons Arthur Lee Dunnam, III and wife Dolly Dollison of Orlando and David Long Dunnam and wife Robyn Moore of Marietta, a daughter Frances Aurelia Dunnam of Atlanta; grandchildren Kathryn Shirley Dunnam, Arthur Lee Dunnam IV, Margaret Aurelia Dunnam, Isabelle Curry Dunnam and Benjamin Bruce Dunnam; nephew Henry Lee McKenzie (Celeni); niece Lisa McKenzie McNamara (John); grandniece Julia Adele McKenzie and grandnephew John (Jack) Paul McNamara, III. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Gloria Dunnam Askew and Janet Dunnam McKenzie. After graduation from Murphy High School, he served in the United States Navy. He earned a B.S. from the University of Alabama, where his social fraternity was Delta Kappa Epsilon. Subsequently, he acquired an M.B.A from the University of Denver. After holding positions as a chemist or as a member of management in several locations in Alabama, Colorado and Oklahoma, he returned to the southeast to join Sing Oil Company for the last twenty five years of his working life. Since retirement, he has enjoyed travel especially within the Elderhostel Program. He attended St. Thomas Episcopal Church and served on the vestry there as well as two churches in Oklahoma. He was a member of the Glen Arven Country and numerous local associations. He enjoyed years of participation in his Romeo Group.
