Arthur Fielding

Services for Arthur Leon Fielding, 89, of Ochlocknee, will be held at 11:00AM, Thursday, August 07, 2014 at Northwoods Church of God, where he was a member. Interment will be at Little Ochlocknee Cemetery and Rev. Damien Salazar, Rev. Dan Tomberlin and Rev. Gary Holland will officiate. Mr. Fielding passed away on August 05, 2014. Born April 18, 1925, he was the son of the late John Rainey and Lottie Stanland Fielding. Mr. Fielding was a member of the United States Navy, serving in World War II. He enjoyed gardening and fishing, particularly in the Little Ochlocknee River. Mr. Fielding retired from Waverly Minerals after 27 years. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lera Sara Benton Fielding. Other survivors include daughter Sandra Faye Molton of Thomasville; son Glenn Arthur Fielding and wife Marie of Thomasville; grandchildren Robert and Laura Harris, Debra and Robert Singletary, Preston and Jackie Fielding, Joshua and Nikki Fielding, Heather Fielding, and Justin Fielding; twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers Theo Fielding, Henry Fielding, and John Fielding; sisters Mervine Long and Mytris Layton; and son-in-law Frank Molton.
