Aubrey R. Suber

Aubrey R. Suber, 88, passed away January 23 in Jacksonville, FL., where he resided since 2001. Services will be held Friday, January 28, 2005 at 11:00AM at Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church in Ochlocknee, GA. The Rev. Charles Neely and the Rev. Johnny Cooper will officiate. Interment will follow at Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church Cemetery next to his loving wife of 63 years, Thelma Hicks Suber, of Ochlocknee, GA. Aubrey was born December 15, 1916 in Pavo, GA son of the late A. R. Suber and Lola Savage Suber. He married Thelma in 1937. They resided in Thomas County, GA. until 1950 and then moved to Jacksonville, FL. They had nine children. Aubrey retired from Winn-Dixie in 1975, and moved back to the family farm in Ochlocknee, GA. until Thelma?s death in 2000. Aubrey was a long time member of Southside Estates Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL. and Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church in Ochlocknee, GA. Survivors include children, Patsy Suber Limbaugh Steve of Keystone Heights, FL., Janice Suber Cox of Jacksonville, FL., Aubrey Lynwwod Suber Anne of Ochlocknee, GA., Judith Suber Crosby Tommy of Jacksonville, FL., Sandra Suber Peters Billy of Jacksonville, FL., Danny Wade Suber Jenny of Jacksonville, FL., Suzanne Suber Randolph Mark of Baltimore, Ohio, Kenneth Dale Suber of Jacksonville, FL., and Sherri Suber Thompson Jim of Jacksonville, FL. Other survivors include 21 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 27, 2005 from 7-9PM at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
