Mrs. Flowers died June 28, 2005 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born April 11, 1940 in Thomas Co., GA she was the daughter of the late Thomas O. Gay and Lauree Howell Gay of Thomasville who survives. On November 14, 1968 at Barnett?s Creek Baptist Church she married Darvin Lee Flowers, Jr. who survives. She was a retired Public Health Nurse from Thomas County Health Department and was a member of East Side Baptist Church. Other survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Darvin Lee Flowers, III and Melissa Flowers, daughter, LeeAnn L. Flowers all of Boston; brothers, Edgar L. Gay and wife, Becky of Ringold, GA, Alan Gay and wife, Barbara of Thomasville, sister, Tommie Lou Crosby and husband, Ben of Coolidge; several nieces, nephew and cousins and very special friends, Janice Cooke of Thomasville, Mildred Bibb of Thomasville, Betty Vereen of Moultrie, Peggy Ferguson and Pat Stephens both of Thomasville. Memorials may be made to Lewis Hall Singletary Oncology Center, 116 Mimosa Drive, Thomasville, GA 31792. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8PM on Thursday.
