Avon E. Shorty Hudson

Graveside services for Avon E. Shorty Hudson of Thomasville are at 2:00PM on Monday, April 10, 2006 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Lee Waller will officiate. Mr. Hudson died April 8, 2006 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born July 4, 1918 in Grady Co., he was the son of the late Will Mitchell Hudson and Rosa Lee Scoggins Hudson. He was married to Lillian O?Neal Hudson who survives. Mr. Hudson was a charter member and inactive Deacon of Dawson Street Baptist Church. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II, a lifelong electrician in Thomas County and a member of the American Legion 31. Others survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Alan E. and Angela A. Hudson, granddaughters, Krystal D. Meeks, Danielle S. Hudson of Crestview, FL and extended grandchildren, Justin and Dusty Long. He was preceded in death by sisters, Mellie, Nellie, brothers, Hayward, JN and Otis.
