Services for Banner Lee, Jr. of Pavo, GA are at 2:00PM on Friday, April 8, 2005 at Pavo Baptist Church where he was a member. The Rev. Larry Harris will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Active Pallbearers are Bryan Bustle, Tab Bustle, Jerry Cooper, Tim Jameson, Collin McCrary, Carson McCrary and Neal Lee. All those in attendance will be considered honorary guest. Mr. Lee died April 6 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born September 4, 1925 in Ware Co., GA., he was the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Banner H. Lee. He lived in Thomas County for 49 years and was married to Willodene Hart Lee who survives. Mr. Lee was a veteran of World War II and attended ABAC and graduated from the University of Georgia with a major in Animal Science. He was a member of the Thomas County Livestock Association, Farm Bureau, Board of Director of Pavo State Bank, Board of Directors for National Beef Masters Association and Southeastern Beef Masters Association. He was farmer of the year for the Thomasville-Thomas County Chamber of Commerce in 1975, won several awards in Beef Masters Cattle Sales and owned the most prestigious Bull ?Levi? in the Beef Masters Association. Other survivors include a brother, Aubrey C. Lee, sisters, Lois Lehman, Kay Seigel all of Alma, Omi Walden of Atlanta GA., sister-in-law, Faye McCrary of Cuthbert, GA. A son, Regy Lee and brother, Archie E. Lee, preceded him in death. Memorials may be made to Safe Haven or to Lewis Hall Oncology Center, 116 Mimosa Drive, Thomasville, GA 31792.
