Barbara H. Foy

Funeral services for Barbara H. Foy will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday March 30, 2016 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father David Koetter officiating. Interment will be in Big Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Foy passed away on Saturday March 26, 2016 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born April 27, 1937 in New Britain, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Stanley Horanzy Sr. and Helen Jase Wichrowski. Mrs. Foy was born and raised in New Britain, was a graduate of New Britain High School and also received her degree in Cosmetology. She moved to Thomasville in 1970 and worked for herself and other beauty shops for many years. She was a very kind and loving mother to her children, adored her grandchildren and animals, and enjoyed long conversations with people. She was especially proud of her Polish descent and enjoyed sharing stories about her heritage. Mrs. Foy loved to sing, dance and was a successful gardener known to grow many types of plants. She married John Foy in 1972 whom she enjoyed traveling with during retirement. Survivors include her daughter Debbie Kelley; sons Steve Kelley and his wife Kerri, Jim Kelley; daughters Carol Kelley Goodson and Hope Jordan; grandchildren Alex Kelley, Erin Smeltzer, Brittanney Mills, Addie Kelley, Kinsey Kelley, Carsyn Kelley, Leah Goodson, Brennan Goodson, Ashley Lanier, Kaley Waldron, Danielle Waldron Selita Myrick, Josh Kelley and Jeff Kelley and many great grandchildren; sister Carol Gesualdi; brother Stanley Horanzy and his wife Joan; cousins Joe and Muriel Giacalone, Linda Sorenson, Walter Kapica. She was preceded in death by her husband John Foy and son Tracey Kelley. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00pm.
