Services for Barbara Jean Lane, 72, of Thomasville are at 11:00AM on Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Dr. Milton C. Gardner will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Lane died Dec. 1 at Brooks County Hospital. Born August 29, 1934 in Ochlocknee she was the daughter of the late Ledford and Lois Chastain Daugherty. She was married to Joe Lane who preceded her in death. Mrs. Lane was a member of First Baptist Church and was a retired Unit Secretary at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Judy Lane, daughter and son-in-law, Fran and Butch Latner all of Thomasville; brother, Wayne Daugherty of Grady Co., GA, sister, JoAnn Bierce of Alabama, grandchildren, Sumer Golden, Erica Bertschy, Bo Latner, Amy Latner and great grandchildren, Haley Lane and Nicholas Golden. The family will meet at the home of Joe Lane at 1013 Remington Ave., Thomasville, GA and will receive friends from 7-9PM on Monday at the funeral home.
