Barbara Nell Mowery, 72 of Cairo passed away on December 30, 2024. She was born on May 15,1952 in Cairo to the late Willie Jay Johns and Barbara Laverne Crawford.
Barbara enjoyed many things including dancing, cooking, eating with her friends at 3 Squares Diner, and going to get coffee and talk with friends. She was also of the Baptist faith. Barbara was so loved by family and friends and will be dearly missed. There will be a big void in her family’s lives without her here. Family was very important to her and she made it a priority to stay in touch with them.
Survivors include her close uncle Wayne Crawford (Beth) of Moultrie as well as many nieces, nephews, and close family members.
She is preceded in death by her sisters Betty Sue Johns and Cathy Mowery and brothers Tommy, Ray, Willie Jr., and Jonas Johns.
A service to celebrate the life of Barbara Nell Mowery will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 10 am at Midway Baptist Church in Cairo.
