Benjamin Minor Force, 84, of Thomasville, Ga passed away on January 1, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his family. Services will be held Friday, January 6, 2023, at 2 PM at First Baptist Church of Thomasville Chapel with Reverend Paul Ballard officiating. Interment will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Force was born July 29, 1938, in Valdosta, Georgia to the late Benjamin Minor Force Sr. and Sarah Herndon Force. On August 18, 1962, he married Janice Scruggs Force who also precedes him in death. He was an active member of First Baptist Church where he was a lifetime deacon and taught a Sunday school class. Mr. Force graduated from Valdosta State University. He worked for Flowers Baking Company and was the Human Resource Director for 31 years. Mr. Force enjoyed watching westerns and was known as a godly man. He was a great father, husband, grandfather, and brother. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them and his friends. He is survived by his children, Missy Wilson of Thomasville, Penny Cooper (Shawn) of Cairo, and Tripp Force (Jennifer) of Thomasville; sister Nancy Hart of Lake Park; grandchildren, Dylan Force, Amber Wool, Nicole Harris, Brittany Gott, Donna Wilson, Sarah Wilson, Gabi Keve; great-grandchildren, Rachel Keve, Phoebe Force, Lucy Wool, Fletcher Force, Everett Gott and Baby Harris; niece Cathy Hart; nephews Ron (Kim) James and their sons Hunter and Sebastian James, Kevin James and his family, special buddy Nikisha Guyton and a guard dog Windy. Pallbearers will be Dylan Force, Ron James, Sebastian James, Bryan Sculley, Hunter Folsom, and Eli Folsom. A visitation will be held Thursday, January 5, 2023, from 5-7 PM in the Allen & Allen Celebration of Life Chapel.
