Benjamin Wayne “Ben” Forte of Thomasville passed into the arms of Jesus on Saturday December 18, 2021 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born on January 8, 1969 at Moody Air Force Base, GA, he was the son of the late Rema Wayne Forte and Nancy Boynton Forte. Ben graduated from Niceville High School in 1987. He was a commercial and residential painter and worked hard at his craft for 34 years. Ben loved sports and was an avid Florida State and Miami Dolphins fan, and was a multi-sport athlete in high school. Survivors include his brother Andy Forte and wife Amanda of Thomasville; sister Amanda Baggett and husband Jason of Bonaire, Ga.; nieces and nephews who he considered children A.J. Forte, Lila Forte, Autumn Baggett, Jase Baggett, Jacob Layne, Olivia Layne, Joshua Layne; goddaughters Faith and Grace Knight; grandmother Sara Forte; uncles and aunts Joey Forte, Larry and Charlotte White, Yvonne & Charles Green, Janet Alligood; cousins Shana White, Stewart White, Heidi Butler, Sean Alligood, Ron Alligood. Lifelong friends, Chris and Laura Knight, Eric Knight, Jan Bromley, and many other close friends that are too many to name. Ben was preceded in death by his parents Rema Wayne and Nancy Forte; grandparents Carolyn and Marion Boynton, Rema Samuel Forte, Othel Forte; aunts and uncles Rooks and Anna Boynton, Ronnie Alligood; cousin Heath Boynton. Memorial services for Mr. Forte will be held Saturday January 8, 2022 at 1:30pm at The Connection Assembly in Thomasville.
