Bennie Delvat Ansley, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2023, at the age of 79 at Archbold Memorial Hospital.
Born on August 28, 1944, in Coolidge, he was the son of the late Benjamin Dorsey Ansley and Ruth Ann Parramore Ansley.
Bennie's true joy in life came from his devotion to his family and his deep-rooted faith. He attended The Connection Church and was a good hearted, honest man, a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather, and was a devout Christian man.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Virginia Vann Ansley. Their children, Troy Ansley (Lori) of Leesburg, Georgia, Julie Marquez (Dave) of Moore, Oklahoma, and Sabrina Little (Bradd) of Albany, Georgia, were the pride and joy of his life. Bennie cherished his role as a grandfather to Katie, Courtney, Mikayla, Dominic, Josh, Gabriel, and Ethan, and as a great-grandfather to Zoey, Emmaleigh, and Lydia.
In addition to his immediate family, Bennie leaves behind his brothers, Don Ansley and Shelby Ansley, as well as sisters Glenda Dean and Brenda McCardel. He was preceded in death by his son, James Ansley, and sister, Sue Ansley.
Funeral services to celebrate Bennie's life will be held at the Allen & Allen Celebration of Life Chapel on December 16, 2023, at 11:00 am. A visitation will take place at the Allen & Allen Funeral Home on December 15, 2023, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Bennie will be laid to rest in a burial ceremony at Sunset Cemetery in Meigs, following the funeral service.
Pallbearers for his final journey will include Michael Ansley, Matthew Ansley, Ricky Dean, Jamie Horton, Rick Koller, and Noah Curby, all whom were honored to be a part of Bennie's life.
Bennie Delvat Ansley will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May his soul find eternal rest, and may his legacy live on in the cherished memories of his family and friends.
