Graveside services for Bernard Eugene Beaty of Barwick are at 10:00AM on Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at Barwick Rosewood Cemetery. The Rev. Douglas Harvey will officiate. Mr. Beaty died May 16, 2004 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born August 25, 1918 in Barwick, GA., he was the son of the late Garney and Sythia Elizabeth Bessie Boles Beaty. On September 21, 1957 he married Sarah Ellen Thompson Beaty who survives. Mr. Beaty was a World War II veteran serving in the United States Army from 1941 ? 1945. He was a retired electrician, working with Bannister Electric and B & H Electric in Thomasville and Morrell Electric in Auburndale, Fl. He was a member of Barwick Methodist Church. Other survivors include daughter, Debbie Beaty of Barwick, GA, daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Danny Stephens, grandson, Chris Stephens all of Savannah, GA, sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Robert Green, brother, Boles Beaty all of Barwick, sister-in-law, Doretha Beaty of Thomasville, sister-in-law and brother-in-lawMadaline and Al Austin of Cocoa, Fl., sister-in-laws, Shirley Thompson of Lewes Delaware, Jackie Thompson of Orlando, FL, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Alex and Elizabeth Thompson of Casselberry, FL, brother-in-law, Jack Thompson of Winter Haven, FL and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Roy Beaty, Virgil Beaty, W. J. Beaty, Ward Beaty and Tom Beaty, sisters, Jo Alley Hargrove and Louise Cumbest.
