Services for Bernice Lanette Brooks of Thomasville are at 11:00AM on Wednesday, February 18, 2004 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Robert Smith will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Brooks died February 15, 2004 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born October 12, 1931 in Thomas Co., GA. she was the daughter of the late Harvey Eugene Benton and Ethel Bloodsworth Jones. On October 26, 1947 in Brooks Co., GA. she married Marvin D. Brooks who preceded her in death. Mrs. Brooks retired in 1995 as a Nursing Assistant at Archbold Memorial Hospital. She was a member of New Heights Assembly of God. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Debra Brooks of Thomasville; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy L. and Ben Diers of Boston; brother, Clyde Benton of Eldorado, KS., sister, Nell Hood, half sister, Gail Davis, half brothers, Larry Jones, Glen Jones, half sister, Estelle Watson all of Thomasville; grandchildren, Robin Mills, Kevin D. Brooks, Haley L. Diers, Benjamin D. Diers and Reece Diers; great grandchildren, Brandon, Johnathan and Hope. A sister Pat Patterson preceded her in death.
