Bernice May Haasch Norwood

Bernice May Haasch Norwood, 82, of Thomasville died November 14, 2010 at her residence. Born February 29, 1928 in Milwaukee, WI, she was the daughter of the late Walter Haasch and Anna Oprean Hammond. On June 11, 1949 in Milwaukee, WI, she married John Evans Norwood, Jr who also preceded her in death. She was a homemaker, a member of First Presbyterian Church, a member of American Legion Post 31 and a member of the Rose City Travel Club. Survivors include son, John E. Norwood, III and wife Margaret of Lawrenceville, Ga and daughter, Nancy Hines and husband Eddie of Thomasville; grandchildren, John E. Norwood, IV, Eric M. Norwood, Kathryn G. Norwood-Grant and Michael S. Cristancho; sister, Roseanne Helgert and husband Michael of Stevens Point, WI and brother, Richard Hammond. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lewis Hall Singletary Oncology Center, 919 S. Broad St, Thomasville, GA 31792. Funeral services for Mrs. Norwood will be private.
