Services for Bertha E. Phillips, 90, of Coolidge are at 2:00 pm, Sunday, November 18, 2007 at Coolidge Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Keown and Rev. Harold Pullen officiating. Interment will be in Murphy Cemetery in Colquitt Co. Pall bearers are Mike Carlton, Bruce Phillips, Cole Phillips, Eric Phillips, Jim Barber, Jac Barber and Kevin Monk. Mrs. Phillips died November 15, 2007 at Woodland Cobblestone Nursing Home in Moultrie. Born October 15, 1917 in Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late J.W. May & Betty Richardson May. On January 1, 1937 in Springhill MS, she married Dessie B. Phillips who preceded her in death in 1974. She was retired from Sunnyland Foods. Survivors include son, Robert E. Phillips, of Coolidge, daughter & son-in-law, Shirley Jean & Glenn Sheriff, of Coolidge, daughter, Iva Lee Carlton, of Lake City, Fl, son & daughter-in-law, Jimmy Wayne & Diane Phillips, of Warner Robbins, son & daughter-in-law, Jerry Lane & Irene Phillips, Seale, Ala, daughter & son-in-law, Wanda Jo & Wayne Parramore, of Coolidge, daughter, Kay Gay, of Panacea, Fl, daughter & son-in-law, Fay & Neil Hough, of Old Town, Fl, 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Brothers, Cecil May, J.C. May, Bradley May, sisters, Alida Vance, Effie Harris and Norma Phillips preceded her in death.
