Services for Bertis Lee Jiggs Jones, 79, of Thomasville are 11 am, Friday, September 16, 2011 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Robbie Jones will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Jones passed away September 14, 2011 in Norman Park. Born April 1, 1932 in Live Oak, Fl., he was the son of the late Bertis Morgan Jones and Mattie Baggett Jones. He was married to Patsy Reed Jones who preceded him in death. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed all outdoor sports especially fishing and the Atlanta Braves. Survivors include children, Debbie Lasseter and husband Frankie, Craig Jones, Todd Williams and wife Lisa, Suzanne McMullen and fiancé Jody Hilton; step children, Angela Scott and husband Richard, Donna Schie and husband Rusty, Charlie Reed and wife Lisa, Lisa Watkins; grandchildren, Daniel Lasseter, Alex Jones, Cody McMullen; step grandchildren, Abigail & Matthew Scott, Kevin Tucker, Brittany Schie, Carrie Reed, Courtney Reed, Nicholas Reed, Erica Craven, Conner Craven, Emily Watkins and Hannah Watkins; brother, Robbie Jones and wife Lucy; the mother of his children and friend, Carolyn Sue Goff Jones Williams, special niece Shebbie Bozeman, special nephew Gerald Stewart and special friend David Bussey; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters Wilma Teen Teenie Stevens Stewart and Audrey Mae Coot Stewart. The family will receive friends 7-9 pm, Thursday, Sept 15, 2011 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
