Bessie Rimes Bowman

Funeral services for Bessie Rimes Bowman, 94, of Thomasville will be Wednesday, July 2, 2003 at 10:00AM at the Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Bob Hall will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Bowman died Saturday, June 28, 2003 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. She was born September 20, 1908 in Bluffton, Georgia to the late Clarence and Agnes Pritchard Rimes. She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Bertise Bowman. Mrs. Bowman was a member of Dawson Street Methodist Church. She retired from Sunnylands Poultry Department after 25 years. She is survived by her daughter, Hilda Bailey of Thomasville; and a son, William C. Bowman of Summerville, Fl; a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce Wright and Randy of Thomasville; and grandchildren, John Bowman,Sandra Phinazee, Tom Bailey, Lamar Bailey, Melba Bailey, Mike Bailey, Richard Wright, Lynn Leach and Sheila Wright,18 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lewis Hall Singletary Oncology Center, 116 Mimosa Dr., Thomasville, GA., 31792.
