Services for Bethany Annie Gibbs, 81, of Thomasville are 2:00 pm, Sunday, March 9, 2008 at Gatlin Creek Baptist Church with interment in Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald, Ga at 5:00 pm. Ms. Gibbs died March 6, 2008 at Golden Living Center. Born April 10, 1926 in Wilcox, Co, she was the daughter of the late Tom & Nancy Bagwell Merritt. She was married to Harvey Gibbs who precedes her in death. She was a member of Fitzgerald Assembly of God. Survivors include sons & daughters-in-law, Charlie & Mary Gibbs of Woodstock, Tommy & Martha Gibbs, daughter & son-in-law, Carolyn & Bill Lively of Waco, Ga, Frankie & Trena Gibbs, all of Thomasville, brothers, Leonard Merritt of St. Simon Island, Ralph Merritt of Enigma, James Merritt of Albany, sister, Geraldine Curry of Smyrna, grandchildren, Tim, Tommy, Carrie Lynn, BJ, Simeon, Ricky, Alisha, Mandy, great-grandchildren, Britney, Kourtney, Tiffany, Hunter, Jack, Paris, Sam, Sage, Ashlyn, Katie. She was preceded in death by brothers, George Merritt, Ed Merritt, Raymond Merritt and sister, Mary Futch. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
