Services for Betty B. McGalliard of Thomasville are at 3:00PM on Sunday, March 23, 2003 at First Baptist Church Chapel. Rev. Dr. Milton C. Gardner, Rev. Dan Spencer and Rev. John Rainey will officiate and interment is in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. McGalliard died March 20, 2003 at Plantation Manor. Born July 30, 1927 in Thomasville, GA., she was the daughter of the late Fred Broome Sr., and Annie Broome. She was married to the late Robert McGalliard. She was a member of First Baptist Church, a 1945 graduate from Thomasville High School and retired from the Social Security Administration. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Buddy & Sandi Davis of Bainbridge, Ga., daughter, Sheila Hester, sons and daughter-in-law, Glen and Lavinia Davis and Tommy and Marshall McGalliard all of Thomasville, grandchildren, Rob Mercer, St. Simons Island, GA., Marty Davis of Thomasville, Adrian Davis of Atlanta, GA., Maggie McGalliard, Kellie McGalliard of Thomasville, GA., and Andy Davis of Bainbridge, GA., and great grandchildren Courtney Mercer and Dawson Davis. She was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Broome, Jr. and a sister, Florence Anderson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9PM on Saturday.
