Betty P Hygema

Betty P. Hygema, age 87, passed away on April 25, 2025, in Thomasville, Georgia. Born on May 29, 1937, in Pavo, Georgia, she was the daughter of loving parents Henry B and Bessie Littleton Price. Betty was a beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.

Betty will be remembered fondly by her son, Mark Hygema of Live Oak, Florida, and her cherished grandchildren, Radford Whitney (Grant), Ashton Thomas (Jessica), both of Atlanta, and their father Rick Thomas (Sherry). She also leaves behind seven great-grandchildren, her sister Casey Kinert, and numerous nieces and nephews who will carry her memory in their hearts.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Carol Thomas, and siblings Bobbie Norris, Janet Holland, Margi Patterson, Sue Jackson, and Buck Price.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 2:30 PM at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, with Wallace Marsh officiating. The family will receive visitors thirty minutes prior to the service in the Guild Room at St. Thomas.
