Funeral services for Betty Jean Fallin Duncan, 77 of Pavo will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Antioch Baptist Church, where she was a member. Her son Donnie Duncan and Pastor Ken Burgess will officiate and interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Duncan died on February 18 at her residence. Born December 24, 1939 in Pavo, she was the daughter of the late UFA and Cora Lee Fallin. She was married to the late Emment Leon Duncan. Mrs. Duncan was retired from the Thomas County School System where she taught for 33 years. She was very active at Antioch Baptist Church having served as Director of Acteens and GAs, WMU Director, as well as teaching Sunday School and singing in the Church Choir. Mrs. Duncan was always looking for ways to minister to the needs of others including visiting the sick. Survivors include sons and daughters in law, Ricky and Lisa Duncan of Thomasville, Donnie and Jackie Duncan of Sylvester and daughters and sons in law, Melissa and Robert Simmons of Cairo and Christina and Lee Austin of Albany. Also surviving are grandchildren, Christopher Duncan, Cassidy Chandler and her husband Zach, Trey Duncan and his wife Lauren, Alisha Burdett and her husband Brian, Caleb Duncan and his wife Jennifer, Travis Lee Simpson, Jr. Joseph Simpson, Chelsea Laing, India Laing and great grandchildren Jase Duncan, Hill Duncan and Joseph Daniel Chandler. Also surviving is a brother, Bill Fallin of Pavo and sisters Joann Demott of Thomasville, Faye Burgess of Pavo and Peggy Fallin of Thomasville. She was preceded in death by brothers, James Fallin, Hoyt Fallin, John Fallin and sisters Helen Owens and Mary Brinson.
