Betty Sherin Miller

Funeral services for Betty Sherin Miller will be held on Sunday, November 17th, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Summerhill Baptist Church with Rev. Steven Wooten officiating. Ms. Miller passed away on November 12, 2019 at her residence. Born on June 24, 1937 in Ft. Mill, SC, she was the daughter of the late Jarvis Lester Sherin, Sr. and Annie Mae Spencer Sherin. For 60 years, she was married to William O. Miller who preceded her in death. Ms. Miller was a member of East Side Baptist Church in Stockbridge, GA. She worked for the A&P Bakery in Atlanta where she met her husband and then soon began working for Norfolk Southern Railroad as a rate clerk where she stayed for 30 plus years. In her spare time, Betty particularly loved to shop in Goodwill. She is survived by her sons, Ronald Gregory Miller of Boston & Donald Clinton Miller of Lithonia; daughter, Kathy Denise Miller of Lithonia; granddaughter, Kristina Laurine Vinnacombe (Justin) ; great-grandchildren, William Thomas “Tommy” Vinnacombe & Thomas Scott Vinnacombe ; nieces, Tammy Hogan & Terri Proctor; brothers & sisters-in-law, G.A. & Helen Miller of Palmetto, Randall & Mary Dale Miller of Boston, Bill & Kaye Reynolds of Boston, Jeff & Mary Miller of Barwick, and Jack & Janis Miller of Boston.
