Betty Peppers

Born April 21, 1936

Daughter of Era and Vanus Miller

Betty was married to Howard (aka Charlie) Peppers for over 60 years. She was a loving and faithful member of Cornerstone Church of Christ in Thomasville. She loved cats all her life and would have had one in the nursing home if she could have. She was preceded in death by her parents, Era and Vanus Miller, one brother, Johnny Floyd, her two sons, Jack and Jim Peppers and adopted daughter Debbie McCord.

She was blessed with a large family. She is survived by one sister, Patricia Blanton, daughter-in law Carol Peppers, and adopted daughter Diane Prevatt. She has many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She worked for many years at Southwestern State Hospital. She and her husband later opened "The Country Peddler" in Thomasville. They moved to Tallahassee, where they ran a store, "Browsers". Upon his death, she continued to work auctions and yard sales until she could no longer travel. She loved antiques, dabbled in painting and being part of her church. Her church family was her extended family and were faithful to the end to visit her.

In lieu of flowers, any donations are requested to be sent to either Cornerstone Church of Christ or Miss Kitty Feline Sanctuary Inc and adoption center.

A memorial service with church and family will be held at a later date.
