Betty H. Westberry, 92, passed away December 17, 2020 at her residence. Born October 24, 1928 in Hosford, FL, she was the daughter of the late Richard Bass Sr. and Lucille Beasley Holden. She married Louis Cilburn Westberry in 1951 in Thomas County, GA. She graduated from Taylor County High School in Perry, FL. She worked for the Telephone Company in Thomasville and in Tallahassee, FL. She was U.S. President Eisenhower’s personal telephone operator when he visited Thomasville. She retired from the Telephone Company after many years of service. She enjoyed flying to visit Los Angeles, CA and Las Vegas, NV including the Hoover Dam. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed Sunday school and church. She was a member of the Dawson Street Baptist Church. She is preceded death by her parents, husband, and youngest son Don Westberry. Surviving is her oldest son Gary Louis Westberry, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and her brother Samuel Holden. Guests may sign her online tribute page at
