Beverly Ponder Clements

Funeral services for Beverly Ponder Clements, 64, of Thomasville will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday October 4, 2011 at First Baptist Chapel. Rev. Dr. Tom Jacobs will officiate and internment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lee Rogers, Wesley Carter, Keefe Newton, David Rogers, Cary Pendergast and Bill Giles. Mrs. Clements died October 1, 2011 in Thomasville. Born Sept. 12, 1947 in Thomasville, she was the daughter of the late Quinton L. and Gussie Mae Autry Ponder. On June 12, 1977 in Thomasville she married James Hardy Jimmy Clements, who survives. Mrs. Clements worked for over 40 years at Archbold Memorial Hospital as a LPN scrub nurse in surgery. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include daughters and sons in law, Donna Beverly Carter and Wesley Hugh of Columbus and Laura Clements Newton and Keefe of Thomasville; grandchildren, Whitney Rena~ Brown, Thomas Grant Newton and Lauren Ann Newton. Other survivors include a sister, Jean Carrithers of Thomasville and a sister and brother in law, Nancy and David Rogers of Thomasville, and sister in law and brother in law, Pat and Dorsey Shelley of Thomasville. Also surviving are nephews and nieces Lee Rogers, Amanda Rogers, Allen Shelley, Marcia and Ed Millere, Angela and Tim Wiggins, and great nephews and nieces, Ella MIllere, Rosalie Millere, Keith Shelley, Saralyn Shelley and Abbie Shelley.
