Billie J. Waldrop Hall of Thomasville passed away at her home on September 13th, 2019. Born in Tifton, Georgia, she was the daughter of Rodge and Ruthie Waldrop. She was married to Charles Hall for 62 years, who predeceased her in September, 2008. Mrs. Hall was a member of Dawson Street United Methodist Church, Thomasville, Georgia for more than 65 years. She served in various capacities that included committees, boards and was a founder of the church's Happy Corners Kindergarten, where she taught kindergarten for a number of years. She was a member of the Susannah Wesley Sunday School Class, a member of the United Methodist Women Fellowship and was an advisor to the Methodist Youth Fellowship and also taught Sunday School. She supported youth activities and projects when her children were growing up.
She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and cherished her role in raising their large family. She was always willing to reach out to others and give them her support. Mrs. Hall enjoyed cooking, working in her flower garden, bird watching and taking care of her husband and six children. She was a thoughtful person, who never expected praise, however, was most deserving of any praise she received. In her later years, she thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, teaching them how to cook, enjoy the outdoors, especially letting them play in her gardens and pick beautiful bouquets of her favorite flowers, which she proudly displayed in her home. She showed her love, in many ways, to every family member and always had the perfect words to make each one feel special. Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Deede and Eddie Freeman of Thomasville, Charlene and Larry Miller of Thomasville, Yvonne and Phil Youngblood of Valdosta, Kathy and Randy Bryant of Coolidge; two sons, Charles J. Hall and Fran, Tallahassee, and Mark A. Hall of Thomasville; grandchildren; Melissa May and Warner of Atlanta, Michael J. Freeman and Carrie of Dowagiac, Michigan, Holly Gentry and Haynes of Atlanta, Scott Youngblood of Independence, Oregon, Niki Ogletree and Lee of Valdosta, Ashley Burgess and Matt, Coolidge, Sarah Bryant of Moultrie, Rann Bryant of Coolidge, Hannah Love and Brian of Durham, N.C., Katie Hall of Durham, N.C. and Christopher Hall of Denver, Co. Mrs. Hall also has twelve great grandchildren, Caroline and Preston May of Atlanta, Caiden Freeman of Dowagiac, MI., Charlotte and Jay Gentry of Atlanta, Owen Ogletree, of Valdosta, Gatlin and Grace Youngblood of Eugene, Or., Mason and Briannah Love of Durham, N.C., Hunter and Lainey Burgess of Coolidge. She is survived by two sisters, Betty Evans, Albany, Ga. and Faye Ferrell of Atlanta. She was preceded in death by sisters, Willie Cooper, Margie Branch, Bo Goode, and brothers, James Waldrop, , Bobby Waldrop, and Jerry Waldrop. Mrs. Hall is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Dawson Street United Methodist Church, 1132 N. Dawson Street, Thomasville, Ga.31792, and also to Bethany Hospice 2012 E. Pinetree Blvd., Suite A, Thomasville, Georgia 31792 .

A special thanks to the Rescare Staff and to Paula Conti for her dedication, love and exceptional service that she gave to our mother. The family will hold a private service for her at a later date
